Birthday Presents!

For my birthday, September 10th, I got both of these shoes, I had wanted the Chloe shoes for a while. The first picture is of the Chloe heels, they are so comfortable. They were purchased from Barney's but they are still available online at this site. The coach flats were to replace my old black pair and these new ones are adorable! You can purchase them on the Coach website. I also got two other pairs of shoes but they didn't fit, so im going to return them and go shopping!

Bow Headbands

I really like bow headbands because thay can add so much to a simple outfit, especially for me during the week since I wear a school uniform. The ones I took pictures of are the ones I own, they are all L. Erickson, you can purchase them from the link before or most Barney's carry them in stores.

Marni Shoes!

Just got these! they are super comfortable, plus who can resist turquoise patten leather shoes? Well atleast not me, as soon as I saw them I knew I wanted to purchase them. The elastic band across the top makes them just that much better too! I got them at the Marni store and was sooo excited they were even on sale!

Sewing Table

I just purchased this new table from Ikea. I needed something that was sturdy and had drawers that I could sew on, but I needed somthing that would fold up and I could move out of the center of my room. This is what I found, and it is actually perfect! I definately recomend this table for sewing, it doesn't shake at all, plus it has pretty big drawers that can hold notions. I can't wait to start sewing more, but sadly at the moment I have had way too much homework since I started school. You can purchase this table here.

Balmain F/W 2009

These are some of my favorite looks from the Balmain F/W 2009 show, I really loved the skinny black pants, heels with bows, strong shoulders, and silver dresses. My favorite look out of these is the first one, I really like stripes. Also, the quilted leather skirt is amazing! I got these pictures from style.com, where you can view the entire collection.

Shopping!

I went to the mall the other day, and got these two pictures from Nordstoms. The first one is a group of looks from Stella McCartney and the second one are two looks from Donna Karen, I especially like the red skirt. I also decided to try a new thing for me. I bought yellow eyeshadow. I have seen it a couple times in various runway shows and decided I wanted to try it. I purchased Chrome Yellow by MAC, you can purchase this eyeshadow here. I feel like yellow is a hard color to wear because it can almost make you look sick. I find that wearing it only on the lids with the rest of the face plain, created a focus on the color and didn't make me appear like I was a clown. But, you also do not have to choose a bright yellow like I did, softer yellows or just applying a bright yellow sparingly or mixed with a lighter shadow can make this look more wearable for everyday.

Picture Board

I took a bunch of magazines and clipped out some pictures I found interesting. Then, using a cork square as a base, I layed out all my clippings in a collage. I secured them by stapling everything down. The large flats in the collage are Kate Spade, the jacked the model is wearing and the green leopard one are both Dior. The man holding the tennis raquet is tennis star Rene Lacoste and the gray dress is D&G. The rest of the pictures are randoms, I picked some for the colors in them or just because I liked them.

New Skirt!

I just bought this skirt today at Saks, its really cute. The fabric is a violet brocade withe the three gold chaines at the top. I got this picture at style.com where you can see the entire Spring/Summer 2009 Milly collection, which was '70's inspired.
