The Fashion Designer's Directory of Shape and Style

I bought this book at Barnes and Noble, but you can also purchase it here, on Amazon. This is my new favorite fashion design book. It features an easy to use croquis, with over 500 different garments and details that can be used on the croquis. It also has fashion show examples of all the different types of garments and details. This is helpful to create a prototype collection and the book also features a textile directory. This book is great to get ideas and is overall a great resource for drawing clothing.

Sketches

These are some quick sketches I drew. I managed to get all the figures the same height and porportion because I used a croquis from this website. They are really helpful so that you can draw clothing that all fit on the same figure and it is also good for when you want to save time and not have to sketch out a person. Also i find that the porportions of the figure and the clothing are better when I use a croquis compared to when i just draw the figure myself.
