Gray at 3.1 Phillip Lim S/S 2010

One of my favorite colors for clothes is gray, although they can sometimes be a bit dull, I simply love the color for clothing. Its perfect because its not simply black or white, although some of my most worn outfits are all black. These are some gray pieces I wish I could have from the Phillip Lim show. The first look with the shorts and the slightly cropped short-sleeve button down is simply and dressy at the same time, the necklace is also amazing. The second look with the collared slip dress and sweater is very wearable, and can be dressed up or down which is a plus. Lastly, the sequin top and bow-tie trousers are more for evening, but the top could be worn with jeans and look great for day. These pictures are from style.com. Best of Resort 2010

This is from the Holiday 2009 Bal Harbor magazine. One of my favorite resort shows was Chanel, the makeup was amazing. I will post pictures of that soon. You can view a larger version of this image by clicking on it.

Military Inspired

On style.com they had a story about military inspired clothes and accesories, I really liked several of the things they showed, especially the Balmain vest and Jean Paul Gaultier shoes. You can view all the pictures on style.com and if you click on the images above you can see a larger version.

I got this from the New York Times website, when I first read this article I knew that this was my favorite part, I love all of these pieces of jewelry. I would wear any of these, and I find the bracelet with the blue squares particulary interesting. You can view a larger version of the picture by clicking on it.

Shoe Shopping at Neimans

Chloe
I love these because they are flat boots and they have the tie that is right over the knee, I think these are amazing, even though they are simple.
Dior
These also come in black but i feel like the tan would be better to wear during the S/S, and my favorite thing about these is how they are geometric and have the sheer areas between the leather.

Dolce and Gabbana
The floral pattern on these is especially bright and I love the fact that you only catch a glimpse of it on the very thin straps of the sandals.
Miu Miu
Of course I cannot stay away from the sequins, but even better its a platform hell with multicolored sequins that are in such pretty colors.
Miu Miu
Now these might just be the coolest sandals ever, I cant imagine what they would be like to wear considering there isn't really a strap to hold your foot in the back, but they certainly are pretty to look at.
Prada
I really enjoy the details in these, especially the multiple stitchings in the platform and the snake skin bows.
Singred Morrison
These remind me of armour, and these are flat boots, a type of shoes I favor.
Tory Burch
These are reminiscent of slippers but in a dressed up way, and I really like the color of the velvet, also the monogram is a nice touch.
Yves Saint Laurent
One of my favorite colors for shoes and clothes is gray, plus braided/weaved detail of the straps at the bottom gives these shoes some interest. I also feel as though these are good to go from warmer months to colder months, since you could even wear tights with these.

So I was browsing the Neiman Marcus website and couldn't help but to pick out my favorite shoes. This are the ones I would love to own, but most likely will never, but I can wish, right?

Missing the Summer...

During the summer I just spent all day at the beach, and now that school is really starting to get hard I miss the summer so much. One day when i had nothing better to I painted this watercolor, by copying a picture in a book. I haven't yet decided if I like it, I feel as though she ended up looking a little odd, but I really love the colors. The Ray Bans in this picture are actually a pair of vintage ones that I saw online and added in. if you want to view a larger version of the picture just click on it!

Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale Fashion Show

A while ago I went to the student fashion show, I took a ton of pictures but at the time I had the wrong camera to use, so the photos came out a little messed up. These were some of my favorite pictures, the most interesting thing was seeing how the point of view of each student was so different another student. Fashion vs. Football

But in some cases fashion and football work together, just look at Alexander Wangs S/S 2010 collection inspired by football, I posted about it earlier, you can see the post here.

Tommy Ton for Style.com

In the first picture I really like the sequin dress and the Alexander Wang stud bottom mini leather duffle she is carrying. In the second picture, LEATHER SHORTS, which are a favorite of mine, like the ones they had from Chloe were amazing. In the third picture I love the asymetrical Chloe bow top, paired with that bright orange skirt, a sequin Louis Vuitton bag, and classic wayfarers. Pictures are from style.com.

Recent Purchases

While at Neimans I purchased the Marc By Marc Jacobs cuff, I really like it because it is chunky, art deco inspired, and geometric. While at Saks I picked up these Ray Ban clubmaster sunglasses, mine are the slightly larger size, which I like a lot more than the smaller ones.
